I came across a beautiful book about Mrs. Delany from the Leeds library.
Mrs. Delany can do delicate papercut, draw, and she's was one the the first acclaimed embroidery designer for royal dresses.

sadly there aren't may people who can appreciate good sewing skill on textural fabric nowadays.
