Apologies for those whom I have disappointed by not receiving any updates sooner.

Moving forward to reach the end of a dark tunnel was probably the hardest battle that I've ever had to come across in the past few months. Not being able to have access to super speedy internet seemed to make the world even slower.

Luckily I have a very supportive family, friends and tutor who have been so patient and ever so supportive to pull me through the darkest, and most painful time to guide me through to a happier state of mind.

New routine, new weather, dancing along to Nina Simone again, and catching up with what you lovely Loading Darling's reader has been up to, is some of the few things that I'm looking forward to do this summer.

Soft white cotton dress and leather brown flat shoes is one of the few outfits that I tend to repeat summer after summer. How about yourself? I would love to hear what is one of your favourite summer look to wear this season?

Tea, Light and sweet.

Excellent service at Hannah's Tea Room, is tucked quietly behind Batley Mill.

Few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to have tea with my mother and sampled one of the best cooked meal and pastries, from the freshest ingredients.

The most impressive textures, and generous portion of scones are regularly enjoyed by Leeds united football team.

I love walking with sound playing in my headphones.

The mood is rather gloomy back in my side of the pond at the moment. So I started Polyvore and it cheered me up very much this afternoon.

Tropical Wool

Tropical world in Leeds always takes me back to a nice warm, and sticky rainforest weather in South-East Asia. Ouhh the little family of Meerkats and butterfly also cheered me up with their funny body language.
All those fresh colours that I've seen, made me want to browse in 'Baa Ram Ewe'. Packed with deliciously soft yarns to knit and crochet that are mostly from Yorkshire. Do check out their British breed sourced yarns through their online store here.

I happily picked up this super fluffy Angora and a mixyarn of Silk Mohair in Candy Girl.

It will be interesting to see what it will become of them in the next couple weeks. ;)

The bridge to optimism.

There are so many beautiful things in Snug Gallery. Usually I get really intimidated with snobby gallery waiter that really puts me off on enjoying the art that's inside. But here, the owner is genuinely friendly and just lets you enjoy on what's to offer within the space.

I was so proud to buy my first ceramic piece by Rebecca Callis, that's now sitting prettily in my dressing table to hold my Make-up brush.

And what do you know about 'one thing lead to another'. I was ever so lucky to visited Great Nothern Contemporary Craft Fair in Spinningfield Manchester (Fiuhh that was a long name :D ), and actually met the designer of my pretty pot and say hello to her.

The fair was just indescribable. There were so many high standard pieces from textiles, art, jewellery design, and illustration design. My brain was like a fireworks, filled with excitement just by browsing all the beautiful handmade things.

Below is Ingrid Wagner who kindly let me tried one her gigantic knit needles. I could stay forever in that stalls admiring her work, and also to continue my first rug knit.

The graduate pavilion that was dedicated for fresh graduate was as highly competitive as the established UK craft makers next door.

Julia Snowdin's gentle art piece really struck me the most. The artist herself was generous enough to chat with me and my group of friends about her inspiration and how the materials evolved together with the initial ideas.

Visiting the event has helped me very much with getting more focus on the brief that I'm working on at the moment. The video below also inspired me to enjoy bright but slightly muted colours for my final design this term.

Unexpected delight.

Few days after my visit from Lotherton hall. I did another trip to the Bird garden with my another good friends of mine to recorded some bird noises. We took a rather funny bus ride and had to walk a few miles from a lovely village of Aberford. On our way walk towards our destination, we found a plum tree that was full of ripe fruit ready to be picked and eat. It was so delicious. We spent quite sometimes just eating them under the tree and collect some of the lovely one to be carried home.

Everything seemed to went perfectly well when the weather is stunning.

While my friend is busy with his recording inside the bird garden. This little stranger (below) greeted me in his best social manner.

Summer Song

What a way to start the week by spending time walking along the canals, play around in organic cow farm with your close friends.

Above is Nina with her delightful walking outfit. At the end of the long walk, we stopped by at an antique shops with many shabby furniture and this little donkey porcelain that sits patiently wanting to be adopted.

I was very thankful to be invited by my friend's end of year orchestra performance who studied in Huddersfield University.

The 1,5 hour show time was divided into 3 different pieces of composition. My favourite act was the first one due to its sounds that were created by basic everyday object like fabric, shoes, brush, and paper cups of coffee. The texture of the sounds sits very comfortably against each other in wonderful rhythmical mode.

We came across so many different sounds everyday from traffic noises, water flushing, ear deafening music through our headphones. Sometimes it's just nice to hear something so organic acoustically against an idyllic structured silence.

Every year Huddersfield host a fantastic Contemporary music festival that's worth visiting. Click their Website here, for more information on how to take part on the event and workshops that runs from summer onwards.

I came across a beautiful book about Mrs. Delany from the Leeds library.

Mrs. Delany can do delicate papercut, draw, and she's was one the the first acclaimed embroidery designer for royal dresses.

I love music. Who doesn't really?

Nice to know that some of the musicians that we are listening to cares about how and where their music is coming from. On one of my random trip to London, I passed a very curious building around Hackney Road. When I checked it at home... this studio sounds like the coolest place to work at. But the solar-powered, photovolataic panels on their roof is really what impressed me most. In addition to that, they also refurbished the building using reclaimed and recycled materials.

It is also good to know that there are up and coming musicians or people in the media world are getting their hard copies from places such as We Are Breed. I looked at many other alternatives website that offers alternative Eco-friendly package but the design aspect of their Graphics really are quite competitive and eye catching.

For those who still love to buy new music legally, and are bit concern about where the paper/plastic is coming from....

Try to check out any little label that noted their bits to the environment.

Rain Man

Last Week I did a very hectic mini trip to Manchester for a night visit of Futuresonic festival.
Before the show I made the time to buy more books and Italian Vogue at Magma bookshop in 22 Oldham St, getting colour inspiration from a kingdom of bling called The bead Shop which was situated on the 3rd floor of thrifty 'Affleck’s Palace'.


While browsing and avoiding the rain outside. This girl were kindly enough to let take a snapshots of her quirky detail of the silver accessories.
