Spring is gradually approaching what a way to start the weekend with a delicious sweet treats from Sunshine Bakery in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. I love their peanut butter brownies and pretty much all the yummy flavour cupcake served with very friendly staff. I've heard their food in the evening as marvellous too.

Gentle expectation.

2011 has been such an emotional ride for me. I hope everyone has a brilliant holiday season and thought some wonderful New Year expectation for 2012.

I hope to update this blog and share fantastic small business and design that I've come across, even with the lack of internet access at home.

Last Sunday my mother treat me to some very delicious Sunday roast at the White Hart Hotel, Harrogate. The starter looked like it has been style for a Hermès scarf theme.

Above is the one of Leigh Cooke most popular scarf design for Hermès from the Red Berries range.

Such a pretty work of art that will go with everything in my wardrobe.

Garden between the valley

I have been spending most of my summer this year in North Yorkshire. If you happen to have the chance to visit Harrogate, a walk around The valley gardens is a must place to visit during a dry British summer. Stopping by in Betty's tea room when the queue is not too long is also a brilliant way to treat your date before going window shopping. The local would shop in Weeton's farmer supermarket and take a slurp of the wonderful Vanilla Ice Cream by the Ripley company.

Another way of spending a lovely Sunday afternoon with the family is to enjoy the outdoor bar and enjoy the conversation with a Chinese beer at the Royal Bath Chinese Restaurant just behind the Harrogate Turkish bath and Health Spa.

London A.M

It was simply too beautiful to missed on such glorious morning in West London. The morning light and the clear blue sky make my walking scenery seemed to feel very romantic.

Accompanied by a a fresh late from Grosvernors cafe in Mayfair, I solely enjoyed looking at unexpected details on the architecture around me. (Click row of pictures for bigger resolutions).

Chasing the blues

Gorgeous different shades of blue around National Coal mining museum.

Apology for the lack of post in the past months. Things has been going Topsy turvy in my side of the pond.

Sometimes when everything seems to falling apart, you tend to forget some of the amazing friends that you have. However on one particular double rainbow afternoon over the sky in Rhubarb Festival, you realised that there really is a brighter and calmer phase after horrible grey cloud.

The sprinkle of rain did not seem to dampen our spirits to explore even more local treasures around the district of Wakefield.

Good things just keep coming one after another.

A wonderful opening exhibition by Wuon-Gean was beautifully captured by my dear friend of mine Celina.

Tea, Light and sweet.

Excellent service at Hannah's Tea Room, is tucked quietly behind Batley Mill.

Few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to have tea with my mother and sampled one of the best cooked meal and pastries, from the freshest ingredients.

The most impressive textures, and generous portion of scones are regularly enjoyed by Leeds united football team.

I love walking with sound playing in my headphones.

Berry groovy

Those blackberries thats growing wildly around the pavements can finally be picked. Nobody seems to bother colecting them. So I grab the largest plastic bag and manage to fill up to half full. They taste absolutely delicious and of course twas absolutely free.

Beautiful fan details in Leeds museum.

Other little details around the museum that makes me smile.

There were a lot of eclectic and fun games to add your knowledge about the general history of Leeds. The museum even dedicate a section of famous international musicians that comes from the city such as Soft cell, Corrinne Bailey Rae, and Kaiser Chief. The staff were very helpful and they were a lot of spaces to move around the objects and stories that was displayed.

The decadent mood of this week were continued with Fellini's Casanova film (1976). The movie was so fun to watch due to its colourful costume, multiform of make-up, and witty philosophical ideas of Casanova.

Gathering hunter.

I found out about about a very enchanting place called Sissinghurst back in August 2009 from a tiny picture of German Vogue. Not till I was reading Eloise Gray blog on late Spring, that I began to hunt this delightful book.

Other than the story of how the author itself build his dream of sustainable living, the context of the book has some very wisdom tips of basic emotional foundation on how important community is to make a better environment to live in.

During my recent visit to North Yorkshire, I've tasted some of the best culinary experience that uses delicious ingredient that were locally sourced.

1. Take a peek at Shepherd Purse's handmade cheese product. My favourite one is their Lavender cheese because of its delicious fragrance too.

2. Interesting 'made in Yorkshire' alcoholic beverages from Sloemotion with interesting bottle design.

3. I tasted some very mouth melting Venison pie from Holme Farmed Venison company.

They also have some wonderful deerskin clothes and accessories that are handmade from traditional craftmanship around the area.

This darling has been having 'an early twenties' identity crisis.

Well it's summer. On where I live, the sun doesn't come out very often. And when it does, there's no time to waste and be Miss Frumpy grumpy.
When the weather just makes you smile all day, I like to do a local trip to Melrose to get
